Tedeschi Trucks Band | Nashville
On their most recent tour, Derek and Susan of Tedeschi Trucks Band, accompanied by The War and Treaty, sold out four nights at the world famous Ryman Auditorium. The bands, both married couples, brought an almost tangible energy to the venue. The excitement was high and the audience was ready to watch a show they wouldn’t soon forget.
The War and Treaty is composed of Iran veteran Michael and experienced soul singer Tanya Trotter. The couple wowed the audience with their powerful voices and haunting lyrics. Their setlist ranged from originals about current world issues to covers of classic soul oldies. The band exceeded all expectations and did an incredible job building a connection with the audience.
Shortly after The War and Treaty said goodnight, Tedeschi Trucks Band was welcomed to the stage with a standing ovation. The excitement was clear as there wasn’t a seated audience member in the house. Susan, lead singer and guitarist, began the first song right away. Her smooth voice paired with the duo’s chemistry held everyone’s attention. Similar to The War and Treaty, TTB paired covers with their blues originals, playing songs by Willie Nelson and B.B King. Tedeschi Trucks band members each have incredible talents that were individually showcased during the performance. However, fifteen songs later it was time for the show to end. They said goodnight to their first crowd at the Ryman and walked off the stage, receiving another standing ovation. Their talent truly is unmatched in the industry. The audience was noticeably inspired by such a powerful duo, leaving everyone wanting more.
