Ryan Buggle, born in New Jersey, has been in the spotlight as a child. This young star is only 7 years old, and will be turning 8 on January 31. He is well known for his roles in Master of None and Person of Interest, as well as his work on Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. One of his biggest roles has been in Law and Order: SVU as Noah Benson, Olivia Benson’s adopted son. Keep an eye out for Ryan in his role as Young Ray in Alterscape, which is set to premiere in February 2018.
How did you first get your start in acting?
"I started acting when I was three years old. A friend of ours who was an agent needed someone for a Toys R Us job and then I was hooked!"
What was your first audition like?
"I don’t really remember! But I remember when I was 4, my first big job for Person of Interest that I booked was so much fun and I loved meeting all of the people."
You play Noah Benson on Law & Order: SVU. Can you tell us a little about your character and what it’s like to work on the set?
"Noah is Lieutenant Olivia Benson’s son and he’s growing up now so he really wants to spend more time with his mom and then all of sudden my biological grandma shows up (Brooke Shields) and she starts all kinds of trouble. The set is amazing. I learn so much from all the directors and crew and most of all Mariska."
What has been your favorite episode to film of Law & Order: SVU and why?
"The fall finale! I can’t give away any spoilers though!"
What are your favorite activities to do when you are not working?
"I love hanging out with friends, riding my scooter, and playing guitar and drums."
As a very young actor just getting started, what is one role you’d aspire to take on one day?
"I would like to do something really dramatic and challenging."
Who is someone you would love to work with in the future, whether it be on a tv show, movie, or something else?
"I am obsessed with the Flash, I wrote letters to the TV show when I was younger begging to be the Baby Flash so for sure Grant Gust!"
Is there anything else that we can expect from you in the near future?
"New episodes of Law and Order: SVU and I have a movie coming out called The Reliant!"
